There are various services that will take you from the main land to Isla Mujeres .
From Cancun you can get a ferry from Puerto Juarez with Ultramar or Transportes Maritimos Magaña.
Also ferries leave from 3 different locations within Cancun´s hotel zone.
From Punta Sam as well, you can find a car ferry if you will like to cross with your vehicle.
  • Ultramar Gran Puerto (Puerto Juarez) offers a passenger ferry service to Isla Mujeres. We have continuous departures from Pto. Juarez to Isla Mujeres every half an hour from 5:00am to 8:30pm, after that each hour 9:30pm, 10:30pm and 11:30pm. From Isla Mujeres to Pto. Juarez departures every half an hour from 5:30am to 9:00pm, after that each hour 10:00pm, 11:00pm and 12:00am.
  • Ultramar (Playa Tortugas) located in the hotel zone of Cancun, Blvd. Kukulcan. Km 6.5. It has only 8 departures per day. Playa Tortugas to Isla Mujeres departures 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:00pm. From Isla Mujeres to Playa Tortugas departures 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm and 5:30pm.
  • Ultramar (Playa Caracol) located in the hotel zone of Cancun, Blvd. Kukulcan. Km 9.5. It has only 6 departures per day. Playa Caracol to Isla Mujeres departures 9:00am, 10:15am, 11:30am, 12:45pm, 2:00pm and 4:45pm. From Isla Mujeres to Playa Caracol departures 9:45am, 11:00am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm, 4:00pm and 5:15pm.
  • Ultramar (El Embarcadero, Playa Linda) located in the hotel zone of Cancun, Blvd. Kukulcan Km 4. It has 6 departures per day. El Embarcadero to Isla Mujeres departures 9:15am, 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:00pm, 2:15pm and 4:30pm. From Isla Mujeres to El Embarcadero departures 9:45am, 11:00am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm, 4:00pm and 5:15pm.

TRANSPORTES MARITIMOS MAGAÑA. This ferry service departs from the Terminal Maritima Puerto Juarez, just a few meters ahead of Gran Puerto.
Schedule:
From Puerto Juarez to Isla Mujeres every hour from 8am to 8pm.
From Isla Mujeres to Puerto Juarez every hour from 7:30am to 7:30pm.
Fares:
Adult visitors $ 136 pesos round trip and $ 73 pesos one way.
Children visitors 5 to 10 years $ 85 round trip and $ 43 pesos one way.
Cancun residents with IFE id $ 105 pesos round trip.
Isla residents with IFE id $ 70 pesos round trip.

CAR FERRY MARITIMA ISLA MUJERES:
If looking for the most inexpensive way to reach Isla this is it, even being a car ferry this company also takes people without vehicles. The same transportation services taking you from Cancun to Puerto Juarez reach Punta Sam.

Usually the boat ride is nice, you can go upstairs listening to live music or downstairs with the air conditioned on. 

IF STAYING IN CANCUN: 
Puerto Juárez is quite close to downtown Cancun, but not within a walking distance. Puerto Juárez can be reached by Colectivos starting opposite the ADO bus station in downtown within a few minutes for 12 - 15 pesos.

IF ARRIVING FROM CANCUN´s AIRPORT: 
If you are staying in Isla Mujeres, you need to be taken to the chosen departure spot (see above By Ferry). You can either take a cab or prebook private transportation. If going to Puerto Juarez, you can take the ADO bus to downtown Cancun and then take there the Colectivo previously mentioned.
